Verduzzo Doc Piave
It appears that the Verduzzo vine first arrived in the province of Treviso in the early 1900s and has settled in very well, mostly in the Vini del Piave Doc area, and in particular on the left side of the Piave between Oderzo and Motta di Livenza.
- Colour
- Clear, golden yellow or straw yellow tending towards lime green.
- Profumo
- Delicate, lightly fruity, typical, pleasant.
- Flavour
- Dry, sapid, harmonious, pleasant.
- Alcohol
- Minimum 11 percent.
- Ideal age
- 2-3 years.
- Temperature
- It should be served between 10 - 12 degrees.
- Affinities
- An aperitif wine that goes happily with hors d'oeuvres, seafood and light, delicate fish dishes. Among the traditional specialities from the Piave Doc area it goes particularly well with cream of bean and pumpkin, radicchio risotto and Venetian baby squid and onions.
